Powell Joinery have an integrated fully-equipped spray shop offering a full finishing facility for our manufactured joinery products and to external contractors looking for a quality finish to their products.

We are approved sprayers certified by industry leaders Teknos & Anker Stuy

Providing high performance microporous paint systems, allowing the timber to breathe, it’s weather resistant and offers measured durability.

The versatile range of paints, stains and lacquers available mean we can offer our clients an endless choice of colours and finishes. We can colour match any RAL, NCS or BS number, as well as Farrow & Ball, The Little Greene Paint Company, Dulux, Crown, Morrells and many more.

Our air-less assisted spray system in the hands of our experienced spray technicians ensures an even surface coverage with minimal waste. Less paint with a better finish!

Our full finishing service consists of:

Paint Finishes

End grain sealer if required. Applying primer, filling if required, denibbing, apply mid-coat, denibbing, finally apply top-coat for smooth even coverage. Available in matt or gloss finishes.

Stain Finishes

Apply stain and two coats of top coat.

Lacquer Finishes

Two coats of lacquer finishing.

Additional steps we take for a top-notch paint finish:

Water based preserver where required.

Knotting – a treatment to prevent knots bleeding through the finish.

End grain sealer.
